Pups

We miss our puppies. Jax (9 months) and Jade (6 months) and both mini pinchers, are living in AZ with my parents for the time being. We can not have dogs at the house we live in so sadly I had to pawn them off to my parents to take care of for a bit. I never had been attached to dogs growing up but after coming back to UT to an empty house, it was SAD! The pups made up our little family and with out them things were a tad bit more boring. Luckily we get "puppy updates", which is what we call them, on a daily basis. Here are some of their favorite activities in AZ:

1. Jade, being a little cuddlebug, gets to sit on my brothers laps all day as they play their video games.
2. Jax gets his puppy walks every morning and occasionally gets a trip to the dog park. He is a VERY social puppy and loves being around other dogs. Even though he is always the smallest.
3. Jade loves wondering around the back yard in the warm sun. She hated the snow/cold here in Utah so I am sure she appreciates the warm weather. She also has finally made friends with the back yard pet, Ottis the pot bellied pig.
4. Jax loves bringing in what ever he can find outside, ex: sticks, rocks and his favorite, pine cones. He finds his spot right on my dad's comfy chair and chews his item up into tiny little pieces. Sorry for the clean up, dad.

We are glad that they are in a fun and safe place until we move somewhere else. And thanks mom and dad for taking on 2 extra dogs on top of your 3 :)

I Hope They Call Me On A Mission...

Thursday night my twin little brothers got their mission calls. Since we were in Utah, we were able to hear them make the big announcement over the phone. And the results are:

Preston :
Argentina, Buenos Aires North Mission. Leaves March 31st

Taylor :
Paraguay, Asuncion Mission. Leaves May 12th

The only thing that is funny about their calls is that they leave so far apart. I had never heard of twins leaving on different days. Another funny thing is that their missions are completely different, but the two countries are boardering each other...so they'll still be pretty close to one another!

We are all super excited for them to start this exciting time in their lives. They are the babies in the family and the last set of brothers to leave on their missions. Congrats twins!

I wish...

I wish I had this...

So I can make these...
...without burning them.
Yup that's right...I don't have an oven. At least one that works anyways. The house we live in has a stove/oven from the 1950's...super old. The stove basically works, but the oven doesn't even turn on. So I am forced to use a toaster oven. It usually sometimes gets the job done, but I cannot make a decent cookie for the life of me. No matter what I do, they always end up either not done enough or burnt. Ahh so frusturating! I am excited for the day we have an oven. I am going to try the cookies in the toaster oven one last time...they look so yummy right now.

Project Bean Bag

Friday Night = Clean our Bean Bag cover. Or should I say our FOAM Bag cover.
We unzipped the cover and out came the foam. It was EVERYWHERE! It covered our entire family room floor. I was not expecting this big of mess.

One wash load and a snow shovel later...

All clean! Now we have all night to watch movies on our clean Foam Bag. Lovely!

Xmas/New Years

At our work Christmas party

Unfortuantly, I got NO pictures of our Christmas in Arizona. We were too busy being with family and visiting friends. We had lots of fun and were sad to go back to Utah so soon.

This is how we had to drive back to Utah. We brought my twin brothers and their friend back with us so they could do some snowboarding. The most UNCOMFORTABLE drive in my life. I had to sit cross legged the entire time. Never again.

New Years week was quite nice. We only worked for the first 3 days then had the rest off. Owen still had winter break from school too. This was the first time since we were married and moved up here that we could relax and DO NOTHING. It was perfect and I was sad to see it go. I also got NO pictures of our New Years night. Since all of our friends were still out of town, we spent new years night with just each other. We went to Red Lobster (yes red lobster - our attempt to eat someplace new rather than the usual - and it was actually really good) and hung out at the house all night. Then had our kiss at new years. Then bed time. Lovely married life.
We also did the following during the week:

Went on our first snowboard trip of the year at Sundance. Hopefully more to come if we don't get to busy with work and school.

Watched a lot of this

Ate A LOT of these

We were also invited to McKenzie's 2nd birthday party. We went to the bounce house with her, Kaitlyn, Lydia and Dan. SUPER FUN

About to start their race. All of the parents were giving them dirty looks at this point

Made it!

Happy 2nd Birthday!
Thanks Dan and Lydia for a fun day
