Class of 2010

We spent the last 2 days celebrating Owen's GRADUATION from BYU. Owen's parents came in from Texas to celebrate the big day. It's always fun to have parents in town...thanks for coming! I couldn't be more proud of him and we are both excited for what ever life brings us after this. So here are come pics from both the commencement and convocation exercises:

Spring + Wedding

This past weekend I got to go back to AZ for my older brother's wedding. Owen had to stay here in UT for finals so I flew solo all weekend. One thing I learned is that mini-vacations are not as fun when he is not with me. But I still managed to have a good time at the wedding and spending time with some family.

The wedding + reception at Val Vista Lakes

Stella + Flower Girl

I also got to spend some time with Owen's sister, Dawn, and this cute girl:

Irelyn + making rolls = messy! But I do miss this little girl A TON

Before I left for the weekend, Owen surprised me with this fun concert in SLC:

Summer of Temples

My dear friend Erin and I (along with Owen) have made a goal for ourselves this summer...visit and do a session in all of the temples in Utah. My new found love for the temple has come from reading this book:

I fell IN LOVE with this book. I first started reading it at my sister-in-laws house and I could not put it down. I had to order one for myself too. The author draws a beautiful picture of each temple and gives a history of its preparation, building, and dedication of each one. But my favorite part about the book are the amazing stories of sacrifice, miracles and heavenly guidance that occurred for each temple building. It truly gives me a testimony of the importance of temple work on this earth. The stories of the first temples built are so inspiring to me. The amount of faith that the these people must have had for our Heavenly Father and his work is greater than I can imagine. My favorite stories will be coming to the blog soon.

Salt Lake Temple Session...one temple down...ten more to go!
