The other morning I woke up to a HUGE spider on our bed. I opened my eyes to a semi-dark room and saw the thing climbing up the corner of our bed. The thing looked kind of like this:
I jumped over Owen screaming spider! and ran to the bedroom door way. I stayed there and screamed and jumped up and down and pointed while Owen tried to find the thing. I COULD NOT understand what was taking him so long to find and kill the spider. It was HUGE and right in front of his face, jumping from the bed and back to the wall. I had never seen anything so big and scary that moved so fast and I couldn't understand how it got into our house. Finally after a few minutes of frantically searching, Owen yelled to me "How big is it!?" and I showed him by making my hands to about the size of a x-large pepperoni pizza. He stared at me for a second and then started laughing. Really hard.
I looked back to the bed for the spider and it was gone. And Owen was still laughing. I read the other week that lack of sleep brings hallucinations. I think I need more sleep. I don't want to wake up to spiders anymore, real or sleep-deprieved made-up ones.
Yes please! Off we go to this lovely place to celebrate Spring Break:
My family in Mesa has the week off so we are headed to California for some quality play time. Sadly, BYU does not celebrate a spring break (boo!) so I convinced the hubby to ditch one class to come anyways. This is the first and last FULL family vaca we have had/will have in a while because of brothers on missions. We get to visit the happiest place on earth:
And the hubby finally gets to see me on one of these:
I recently discovered this entry in the hubby's mission journal dated back to 2004:
I just thought I should write down a list of what my future wife will be like...
*A family, testimony about temples
*desires to help family in all ways
*a good smart, worker
*talents in some board sport (i.e: snowboarding/surfing/wakeboarding,etc...)
*smaller than me (that cuts down a lot of girls...)
*fun & has stupid/crazy ideas
*wears skate shoes (could change after wedding)
*a person that doesn't need to be entertained
This made me want to laugh and cry at the same time when I read this. It makes me think about how certain people are placed in your life to help you grow and learn, but are not THE ONE. And how when THE ONE does come around, it is so ridiculously perfect.
Do you want to win a hot make-over!? I do!! Check out the Beauty Mark (see pink little button)...my friends Courtney and Hillary have some MAD hair/makeup skills...and are giving away a complete make-over to one lucky winner. I hope I win...that means another road trip to AZ!
We met through mutual friends in 2008 and have been obsessed with each other ever since. We welcomed our two precious baby boys, Krew and Kash in August 2012. We now live in Mesa, AZ. Here are the adventures of our little family...
